Portable PC gaming compresses a desktop-style ecosystem into a battery-powered product with a small screen and fixed controls. A faster chip may be valuable at the wall and less valuable on a commute if it drains the battery quickly. Support quality could become a durable competitive advantage

Manufacturers that provide reliable updates, clear recovery tools, replacement parts, and stable control software may retain customers even when rivals post higher short-term benchmark numbers.
